ECAD Lions Squad 2015 Announced

Instead of picking 15 players as was the original intention, Lions management team of Darren Talbot and coach Rebecca Ayton have widened the squad to 23 players due to the amount of talent at their disposal.


This extended squad has been split into 3 sections.


Performance – Players who are pushing for inclusion into the main England Deaf squad in the next 12 months

Development – Players who could reach the Performance level inside the next 12 months with some work. 

Junior Lions – Players who are under 19 and not quite ready for the Development squad but with the promise to get there over the next few years

The 2015 fixture list is below:-


25th May v Wolverton Town, Milton Keynes

24th-28th August – Tour to Loughborough with matches every day

13th September v Epping, London


For 2016 the Lions will be looking to create an extended fixture list to play against County under 17 teams, which may involve a little more commitment, and hopefully 4 weekends of training over the winter months.
