Having won the toss skipper Mike O'Mahony decided to bat. For the first ten overs the ball kept very low and it was really hard to score any runs at all. Surrey quickly found themselves 3 wickets down with Umesh Valjee, Jeffrey Kan and David Baker the batsmen out.
In came Naseer Butt and Mike O'Mahony who quickly got us over 100 at drinks at 20 overs. Both went on to the score all around the field. Mike then got out on a well worked 64. In came debutant Jake Oates who got settled and went on to score 39no. Surrey finished on a very good score of 281-6 off 40 overs.
The Wycombe House openers quickly got settled in their reply and started to score. Skipper Mike made a change in the bowling on came Saul Allison and he got to work! He finished his spell with 4 wickets! Wycombe House were not finished with trying to chase down the Surrey score with both Mehfooz Khan with 59 and number 4 Vasi Shaikh who got 44 runs. Wickets kept falling and the pressure built. On came the spinners, and Tudor who bowled well and picked up his 1st wicket on his debut, finishing with 8-1-45-1 and Martin Henderson who also came back on to bowl his second spell to pick up two wickets towards the end and finished on 6-0-48-2. Jake Oakes returned at the end to take the last wicket and Surrey went on to win the game by 34 runs.
