2018 ECAD Indoor Deaf Tournament fixtures announced
The 2018 ECAD National Deaf Indoor Tournament fixtures have been released. Holders ECAD Academy open up against perennial runners-up Surrey with Nottinghamshire playing Lancashire. Newcomers Birmingham BID Services have time to get a feel for the tournament starting in the second round of games. It's a very open tournament this year and any team could win it! ECAD newcomers called up to England Deaf trials
Ten players have been called up from outside of the England Deaf squad for two Twenty20 trial matches at Horley Cricket Club near Banbury, on Bank Holiday Monday 1st May. Veterans Mike O'Mahony and Stefan Pichowski are joined by ECAD Academy vice-captain and fellow Surrey Deaf player, Martin Henderson and seven players aged 21 and under. Cameron Sweeney (19 from Durham) played for the England Deaf Lions last summer and Luke Riley (14 from East Yorkshire) is a former Deaf Lion

Academy youngsters shock favourites to take ECAD Indoor National title
The ECAD Academy side tore up the form books to win the ECAD National Deaf Indoor Championships in Derby this weekend. The first round of matches went to form with holders Lancashire beating newcomers Yorkshire and Surrey narrowly beating Nottinghamshire. In the next round of games the ECAD Academy side were well beaten by Nottinghamshire, showing little sign of what was to follow, and Surrey again narrowly won this time being Yorkshire.
